No water? Pump not working? We’ll get your water flowing again.
Water Pump Repairs & Replacements | Local Water Experts | 24/7 Emergency Call-Outs
No water? We’ll find the problem and get it flowing again.
When your water pump stops working, the first step is finding out why. Our technicians diagnose the problem, inspect the pump and surrounding system, and determine the most practical way to restore your water supply.
Sometimes the solution is a straightforward repair or replacement part. If the pump is worn out, badly damaged or no longer worth repairing, we can recommend and install the right replacement pump for your system.
Our priority is simple: restore your water as quickly as possible and give you the right long-term solution.
We provide 24/7 emergency water pump repair services across Rodney, including Warkworth, Omaha, Mangawhai, Dairy Flats and surrounding areas.
Emergency? Please call 021 278 7427. Don’t text or email.
Calling is the only way to get an emergency call-out. Texts to this number aren’t seen, and we don’t check emails or website messages after hours or at weekends, so they won’t reach us in time.
Is your water pump doing any of these things?
No water from the taps
Your pump has stopped or your water supply has suddenly cut out.
Pump is not starting
The pump won’t switch on or restart when water is needed.
Pump keeps switching on and off
Frequent cycling can indicate a pressure, leak, controller or pump problem.
Low or fluctuating water pressure
Pressure has suddenly dropped or changes while you’re using water.
Pump has lost prime
Particularly relevant to tank-fed systems where the pump can no longer draw water properly.
Pump won’t stop running
The pump continues operating even when no water is being used.
Unusual noise, vibration or leaking
A sudden change in how your pump sounds or operates can signal a developing fault.
Pump running but no water
You can hear the pump operating, but little or no water reaches the taps.
Pump not behaving the way it should?
Don’t wait for a small problem to leave you without water. We’ll diagnose the issue and tell you whether a repair or replacement is the best way forward.
Book a pump assessment.
Repair when it makes sense.
Replace when it doesn’t.
Not every pump problem means you need a new pump. Sometimes a faulty component, pressure issue, leak or control problem can be repaired quickly and cost-effectively.
But when a pump is badly worn, repeatedly failing, incorrectly sized, or the cost of repair no longer makes sense, replacement may be the better long-term option.
We’ll diagnose the problem first and explain your options. If a repair makes sense, we’ll repair it. If replacement is the smarter choice, we’ll recommend a pump suited to your water source, household demand and pressure requirements, and take care of the installation.
How we decide whether to repair or replace
We consider the pump’s age and condition, the cause of the failure, availability of replacement parts, repair cost, previous problems and whether the existing pump is still right for the job.
What happens when you call Aqua Works?

We find the problem
We check the pump and the wider water supply system to find the actual cause. Sometimes the pump isn’t the problem at all. A faulty valve, controller, pipework or another component can stop the water supply.

We get the water back on
Our service vehicles carry a range of pumps and commonly needed parts. If the problem can’t be permanently repaired on the spot, we can often install a loan pump as a temporary solution, so you’re not left without water while the next step is arranged.

We give you your options
If your pump can be repaired, we’ll explain what’s involved and the likely cost. If the pump is old or replacement makes more economic sense, we’ll discuss suitable replacement options and costs with you so you can decide what works best for you.

We complete the permanent repair
Whether that’s replacing a faulty component, repairing the existing pump or installing a new pump, we’ll arrange the permanent solution and get the system back to reliable operation.

FAQ about Emergency Water Pump Repair
Do you provide 24/7 emergency water pump repairs?
Yes. Aqua Works provides 24/7 emergency call-outs for water pump breakdowns and water supply failures. If your pump stops working at night, on a weekend or outside normal business hours, call our emergency team for assistance.
What should I do if my water pump is running but no water is coming out?
If the pump is running but you have no water, switch it off to help prevent damage from running dry. Check that your tank has water and that the pump has power, but avoid repeatedly resetting or restarting it if the problem continues. Call Aqua Works and we can diagnose what is stopping the water supply.
Why does my water pump keep turning on and off?
Frequent cycling can be caused by pressure problems, leaks, pressure tank issues, controls or other faults within the water system. Repeated cycling can also put unnecessary wear on the pump, so it’s worth having the cause investigated rather than simply letting it continue.
Why won’t my water pump switch off?
A pump that runs continuously may be struggling to reach the required pressure or responding to a fault elsewhere in the system. Possible causes include leaks, water supply issues, pressure or control problems, or a pump that is no longer performing properly. Switch the pump off if you’re concerned it may be running dry or overheating and call us for advice.
Can a water pump be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
It depends on what has failed, the age and condition of the pump, the availability of parts and the cost of the repair. Some problems can be fixed with a replacement component or adjustment. With an older or badly worn pump, replacement can be the more reliable and cost-effective option. We diagnose the problem first and explain your options before recommending the best way forward.
Can you get my water back on if my pump can't be repaired straight away?
Often, yes. Our service vehicles carry a range of pumps and commonly needed parts. If a permanent repair can’t be completed immediately, we can often install a loan pump to restore your water supply while the permanent solution is arranged.
Is it better to repair or replace a broken water pump?
It depends on the fault, the age and condition of the pump and the cost of the repair. We diagnose the problem first and, where appropriate, explain both the repair and replacement options and their costs. If replacement makes more sense, we’ll recommend a pump suited to your water supply and requirements. The decision is yours.
Do you offer emergency water pump repairs after hours?
Yes. Aqua Works provides 24/7 emergency water pump call-outs for urgent situations such as a complete loss of water. Please call 021 278 7427. Calling is the only way to get an emergency call-out: texts to the 021 number aren’t seen, and we don’t check emails or website messages after hours or at weekends.
