Who we are
Aqua Works is a family-owned business based in Warkworth. Since 2000 we’ve looked after plumbing, water pumps and water treatment for homes, farms and businesses from Mangawhai to Albany.
We’re a small team that looks out for each other and for our customers. Many of them live rurally, some are older and on their own, and they all rely on us to turn up when we say we will.

What we look for
Skills matter, but how you work matters more.
Registered plumber and drainlayer
You’re registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board. You don’t need to be certifying. Gasfitting is a bonus.
Good with people
You’re respectful, honest and explain things clearly. Our customers trust us in their homes, and we keep it that way.
Takes pride in the job
You turn up on time, keep customers in the loop, leave the site tidy and own it when something goes wrong.
The role: plumber and drainlayer
- Full-time, permanent position
- Based in Warkworth and Orewa, working across rural Rodney and the Hibiscus Coast
- Plumbing, drainage and hot water, plus water pumps, bores, rainwater tanks and water treatment
- Homes, lifestyle blocks, farms and commercial sites
You don’t need pump or water treatment experience. We’ll teach you. If you’re working towards certifying, our certifying plumbers will supervise and sign off your work.
Not a plumber? We’re not actively hiring a service technician, but if you’re a great one, we’d still like to hear from you.

Do I need to be a certifying plumber to work at Aqua Works?
No. Being a registered plumber is enough. Our certifying plumbers supervise and sign off your work while you work towards certifying.
Do I need to be a drainlayer to work at Aqua Works?
Ideally, yes. We’re looking for a registered plumber and drainlayer. If you’re a strong plumber without drainlaying, call us anyway.
Where would I be working at Aqua Works?
You’d be based in Warkworth and Orewa, working across rural Rodney and the Hibiscus Coast.
Do I need experience with pumps and water treatment to work at Aqua Works?
No. We’ll train you on water pumps, bores, rainwater systems, filtration and UV.
Do Aqua Works plumbers get a work van?
Yes. You get a signwritten company van, kept at home and used for work only, plus a work phone and gear.
Is Aqua Works hiring service technicians?
Not right now. If you’re a great service technician, though, we’d still like to hear from you.
