From an ageing concrete tank to a new 30,000 l. water tank
At this Matakana bach, the owners were experiencing sediment in their drinking water and the ageing concrete tank needed replacing. With the bach often hosting family and friends over summer, they also wanted to maximise their available water storage.
Aqua Works recommended a 30,000 litre plastic tank (the largest practical option for the property) and managed the entire project. We sourced the new tank, prepared a more discreet site at the rear of the garden, positioned and installed the tank, transferred the existing water, removed the old concrete tank and connected the new system.

How much water storage do I need for a Matakana lifestyle property?
It depends on much more than the number of people in the house. Roof catchment, household water use, gardens, animals, additional dwellings and whether you have a bore all affect how much storage makes sense. We recommend looking at the property and its complete water supply before deciding on tank capacity.
Can you add a second water tank to my existing system?

Yes. Aqua Works has its own diggers and can undertake the site preparation required for many tank installations. We assess access, ground conditions, tank position and the requirements for the tank base before installation.
I'm building on a lifestyle block in Matakana. When should I plan my water tanks?
